Hello, we are
Nomadic Roots
Nomadic Roots is a platform for the for research, education and creation, involving dance, traditional eastern arts and play.
Promote quality of life for all people, in all areas where the body inhabits.

Through a practice that empowers, cares, educates, creates, heals, prepares, unites, elevates, transcends, transforms, and crosses body, mind and spirit.
OUR PURPOSE
INNOVATION
The material we share is constantly developing and evolving to respond to your context and needs.

You can start anytime, anywhere. There are no requisites.
RESEARCH
We are interested in studying a spectrum of stillness and movement arts, traditional and contemporary, and their contexts.

We cross its basic principles in order to deepen and expand the knowledge about human movement and its creative potential.
EDUCATION
Teachers are important in the learning process, however we believe that it is also essential to develop the ability to be our own guide.

We encourage and provide tools for each person to develop their own practice, cultivate autonomy and the capacity to deal with obstacles in creative ways.
PROJECT PILLARS
The common ground that helps us in this study is the Fighting Monkey practice, which provides us with tools to investigate human movement patterns that are common denominators in different body arts. Like traditional dances, martial arts, modern sports and games from different cultures.

    FAQ
Do you have another question? Please let us know.
Human living has its blueprint bases made out of nature. The entire culture of guiding oneself, all notions of spatiality, geography, housing, food, festivities and rites, all living in the world and all instruments and techniques, gestures and body language have their bases in nature.

The toy object does not exist without the act of playing, it is not made without a body and without imagination, it does not have the character of narrative without playing. Body games make the body a toy.
